WEB DESIGN / ONLINE STORE OPTIMIZATION

Online store optimization to get more out of every visit

Your store already sells. Now buying needs to be easier, errors shouldn't interrupt checkout and every improvement needs a business reason. At Gulupa Digital we review the shopping experience, performance and data of your ecommerce store to find where orders stall, and we prioritize and implement changes based on their expected impact, their complexity and the available evidence.

THE PROBLEM

Is your traffic investment landing on a store that's ready to sell?

When obstacles pile up, more advertising can also mean more money flowing through a poor experience.

Some people find the product but can't tell which variation to choose. Others find out about the shipping cost too late. Some try to pay and run into an error nobody on the team has been able to reproduce.

It's also a good opportunity when the business has grown and the store still runs on decisions made for a much smaller operation.

It's worth reviewing your store if…

DEFINITION

What online store optimization is

DEFINITION

Online store optimization is the process of finding and fixing obstacles that affect the purchase: navigation, product information, cart, payment, speed and technical performance. Its goal is to make ordering easier and improve the commercial performance of existing traffic, using data and testing when the volume allows.

Part of this work is known as CRO, or conversion rate optimization.

A purchase also depends on the product, the price, availability, trust and the type of visitor. That's why we review the context before blaming any problem on the design.

WHAT WE IMPROVE

What we can improve in your ecommerce store

MOBILE

A mobile experience that lets people buy without unnecessary effort

We review menus, search, filters, buttons, forms and variation selection on mobile. We look for awkward steps, hard-to-find information and overlapping elements. The priority is that buyers understand what to do and can move forward, even on a small screen.

PRODUCT

Product pages that answer questions before the cart

We evaluate how you present benefits, features, sizes, quantities, availability and delivery terms. We identify missing or ambiguous information and propose a structure that helps people choose. A useful product page lets the customer tell whether the product fits their needs and what they'll get when they buy it.

CHECKOUT

Cart and checkout with fewer obstacles

We analyze the fields requested, the costs that appear during the process, error messages and payment methods. We check whether buyers can fix a detail without starting over and whether the instructions are clear. Changes are tested so a visual improvement doesn't affect payments or orders.

SPEED

Speed and stability where they really matter

We review landing pages, categories, product pages and checkout. We identify heavy resources, redundant features and performance problems. We prioritize the real experience and business continuity; a good technical score on its own doesn't prove the store is selling better.

TRACKING

Tracking to understand what happens before the order

We verify which purchase events are recorded and whether there are duplicates or gaps that distort reports. Depending on the scope, we review product views, add-to-carts, checkout starts and purchases. That way we can tell a business problem from a tracking problem.

THE PROCESS

First we find the problem. Then we define the change.

  1. STEP 1

We learn how your business sells

We talk about products, margins, orders, campaigns, seasons and buyers' frequent questions. We review the platform and the integrations that can't be interrupted. This helps us focus on the parts of the store that matter most to your operation.

  2. STEP 2

We review the purchase journey and the available data

We explore the store on the relevant devices and compare what we see with the information you can share. When the data is insufficient, we say so and define what needs to be measured. We don't present a hunch as if it were a proven loss of sales.

  3. STEP 3

    We prioritize improvements with you

We organize findings by expected impact, effort, dependencies and risk. We separate errors that need fixing from opportunities that need validation. You receive a proposal with scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria before you authorize implementation.

  4. STEP 4

    We implement, verify and observe

We test changes in a suitable environment before moving them to production when the infrastructure allows. We verify checkout, payments and the integrations involved. Then we review the agreed indicators, taking into account changes in traffic, promotions, availability and other factors that can influence the result.

WHAT YOU GET

What you get when you hire the optimization

The scope is defined for your store. In the proposal we specify what will be implemented, what access we need and what depends on your team or third parties. We also clarify follow-up support and any external costs.

If you need to connect inventory, orders or customers with other systems, we can evaluate that through our online store integration with ERP and CRM service.

TRACKING

How we evaluate whether an improvement is paying off

We define a baseline and the indicators that make sense for your operation, based on the available data.

A positive change after an update doesn't automatically prove the update caused it. We review context, tracking quality and volume. When conditions allow, we propose comparative tests; when they don't, we work with functional evidence and observation and are clear about their limits.

The goal is to make better-grounded decisions and avoid a chain of redesigns based only on personal preferences.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions about online store optimization

Do I need to change my whole store?

Not necessarily. We can work on specific components, such as product pages, the cart or checkout. If we find limitations that justify a rebuild, we explain what they are and compare alternatives before expanding the project.

Can you optimize a store another company built?

Yes, subject to an initial review of the platform, available code, access and dependencies. That review lets us determine what can be safely changed and what restrictions the proposal needs to account for.

Do you work with WooCommerce?

WooCommerce is part of our ecommerce development approach. We review the specific installation, its extensions, customizations and integrations before defining the scope. If you use another platform, tell us which one so we can assess feasibility.

How much traffic do I need to optimize my store?

There's no universal minimum. With little traffic we can identify errors, usability problems and buying doubts. To compare variants and attribute differences with enough confidence, you need a volume that depends on your current conversion rate and the change you want to detect.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

It depends on the problems found, the number of journeys affected and the technical complexity. After reviewing your case we present the scope, investment, stages and dependencies. A one-off fix and an overhaul of the whole purchase require different levels of effort.

Do you guarantee a sales increase?

We don't promise a percentage. Sales also depend on the offer, demand, prices and operations. We do define which improvements we deliver, how they're verified and which indicators we'll review to evaluate their contribution.

Will my store have to stop selling during the changes?

We plan the work to reduce the impact on operations. Whether a maintenance window is needed depends on each change. If it is, it's agreed with your team in advance, along with the backup and recovery procedure.

Tell us what's holding back your store's sales

Share your URL and describe the problem that comes up most: checkout abandonment, mobile difficulties, errors, slowness or a conversion rate you don't understand. We'll review the information to guide the first conversation and decide whether it makes sense to work on your ecommerce store. You don't need to have identified the technical problem: tell us what you see in your buyers and your operation.
